I often hear people say they want to be healthier, but they don’t want to stop eating what they’re eating. I love it when I hear, “I’m never giving up Steak Chicken and Fish.” I totally get it. I used to say the same thing about smoking. I LOVED to smoke. I LOVED to drink coffee. I LOVED to do lots of things that didn’t support my health. So if you love it – own it! Enjoy it! Do it with relish (meat relish if you must!).
However, I assume you are reading this because a part of you does care about your health, and you want to find some kind of balance. You are perhaps curious about Vegan foods but not ready to ‘convert’. For one thing – you should know that Vegan foods are things you’ve been eating all your life – things like Pasta Marina/Primavara/Broccoli Rape. Another thing is, I don’t preach Vegan fundamentalism. I beleive everyone is on their own journey for health and needs support exactly where they are. So if you are in a place where the only healthy thing you will do today is drink more water – then awesome! Start flushing more toxins out that way! If you want to eat vegetarian just sometimes, then great! Swapping out a few meals a week for vegetarian ones does more for your body than you can imagine, not to mention you give your digestive system a break and reduce your impact on the environment. And if you really want to cleanse, reset, to undo whatever the hell you’ve been doing to yourself – I am here to join you, guide you and support you.
This week I’ve added two totally raw, one semi-raw and one slightly raw menu. I hope they can support you where you are. Enjoy!
